About Us

Small Town Roller Derby, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, is a do-it-yourself (DIY), Full ​Contact, Flat Track, skater-operated Roller Derby League. Founded in 2012, The Small Town ​Outlaws quickly became a top competitor in Michigan Roller Derby and now has joined the ​Women’s Flat Track Derby Association and competes at a National level. The league continues ​to experience significant growth and now has two competitive Roller Derby teams as well as an ​Officials Crew.

Our Mission

To promote the sport of Roller Derby in Northern Michigan and to strongly encourage athleticism, camaraderie, and equality within the roller derby community. Small Town Roller Derby is dedicated to empowering women in sports and being actively involved in the local communities.

Most of all we strive to play TOGETHER, fight TOGETHER and win TOGETHER!
